LOUISVILLE FRESHMEN COACHES

Matt is enjoying his 5th year as a freshman football coach at Louisville High School. He is a graduate of Marlington High School in 1997 and from Mount Union College in 2001.  Currently he is a 3rd grade teacher at North Nimishillen.  Matt is married to Amy and they have one daughter, Matilyn. So far his favorite moment has been winning a share of the NBC title coaching the freshmen as a volunteer. What does Louisville football mean to coach: “Louisville football is about tradition. It is about a community pulling together to support their young athletes. John has been coaching football for over forty years, thirty five of which have been at Louisville. He is a graduate of Youngstown State with a degree in education. John has recently retired from the Louisville school district where he taught physical education and served as the middle school athletic director. While at the middle school he also coached wrestling and track. John lives in Sebring with his wife Shirley and the two kids Matt and Sarah. In his spare time John enjoys working on his family farm and camping.  His favorite part of coaching is getting to know the kids and watching them grow into young men. Jeff is entering his 20th season as an assistant coach with the Freshman Football Program. He currently is the “O” coordinator, coaching DB’s and WR’s also.  Jeff graduated from LHS in 1971 and The Ohio State University in 1983. He is married to Victoria and they have 3 children, Tyler, Marissa, and Brianna. Coach Couto’s favorite moment is any given moment where an athlete excels beyond what he or she thought to be possible.
